The objective of this project was to design the web and social media identity for the Itinerant Documentary Film Tour, Ambulante16. Ambulante16 has a strong bet into the digital media. Curiosity and discovery describe Ambulante’s attitude towards cinema. Under these concepts the proposal was designed. For this project, understanding the information and setting typographical hierarchies was fundamental for its clean structure and easy navigation. This project was a collaboration with Amanda Fernandez, designer and friend.

Sacro

This book is a very round proyect. The conceptualization behind the book rises from my religious background and how I percieve beauty in religios objects. Designing the content, then doing the collate, printing and binding was challenging. All this proyect was done at home. I really enjoyed it.

TOMO Ediciones

Lineup Poster for Material Art Fair Vol. 08

2022

This poster was designed for TOMO Ediciones, an editorial and design studio focused on producing high quality art books and prints. The main objective was to share the books and prints brought for the Fair. These photos were shot as a campaign to announce TOMO's new office opening in Mexico City, therefore, the Poster was printed and walked in a movable screen around the historic center.

To design this manual I was inspired by our way of learning (as designers), the contrasts in the programmes interface and those exaggerations we work with. I was also inspired by the typographic diversity and its richness to learn from it.

A field guide to getting lost

2020

This project’s purpose was to work form a photographic archive and create a narrative that was coherent to a book title.In this case, A Field guide to getting lost by Rebecca Solnit. I researched about the book and the author and the vision of the Casco Art Institute. From the investigation and the images in the archive I analyzed the images file names and proposed two excersices to feel confused, lost and found.

Rosa Mística

This project’s objective was to design a flowershop’s branding. The fictional shop I created was linked to my family heritage. As a homage to the women that came before me this branding was designed under concepts that identified them. Empowered, elegant, traditional but at the same time avant-garde women influenced by the Sonoran kitsch culture. The name ROSA MÍSTICA comes from the rosary litany: Mystical rose, pray for us. Alluding to my religious background and its floral relation.

Alfarería Doña Ana

2021

Alfarería Doña Ana is a ceramics online space where I show and sell my pieces. Space devoted to local pottery craftwork, women’s artisan groups and Mexican pop culture.

The brand is dedicated to making ceramic pieces that pimp up your space. Unique pieces are worked in a workshop in Mexico City when it comes to larger collections, pieces are worked with a group of local artisans.

FERMENTA

founded in 2021

Fermenta is a self-managed student collective. Critical reflection experiences are designed to reflect around care, bodies and territories. Artists, poets, dancers and people across different practices and backgrounds are invited to deliver workshops with experimental and flexible methodologies.
